The opportunity
Based in the Office of Strategy and Policy, the Science Policy Adviser provides strategic scientific and policy advice across emerging and enabling technologies, AI, data science, knowledge management, and developments spanning chemistry, biology, and related fields. The work supports OPCW leadership and States Parties in anticipating scientific opportunities and risks affecting the Chemical Weapons Convention.
Who may find it compelling
Particularly relevant to senior STEM and science-policy professionals with at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience, including significant experience translating scientific evidence into policy advice in an international setting. Experience in disarmament, arms control, non-proliferation, international instruments, or multidisciplinary scientific work may be especially valuable.
